Bollywood greets Amitabh Bachchan on his 74th birthday

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan turns 74th, on his birthday Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday greeted.

He took to his official Twitter account and wrote a post that read, “Dear Sr Bachchan (Amitabh Bachchan), wishing you a very happy birthday. Your versatility and humility has many admirers. Praying for your long and healthy life,” Modi tweeted.

Both PM Modi and Amitabh Bachchan are among the most followed Indians on Twitter. While Bachchan has close to 22.7 million followers, the PM has 23.4 million followers. 

Bachchan was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s highest civilian honour in 2015, and Knight of the Legion of Honour by France in 2007 for his exceptional career in the world of cinema. Bachchan has starred in superhit films like Deewar, Zanjeer, Sholay, Don, Black, Sarkar, Agneepath, Paa, Piku and Pink in his illustrious career.

Over the years, he has been an inspiration for the entire industry. At the age of 74, the actor is unstoppable with so many brand endorsements and films in his kitty. On the birthday of this Mahanayak, biggies from B’town greeted him on Twitter. 

Karan Johar, who is prepping up for release of his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, took to his Twitter account to wish Big B. He wrote, “To the LEGEND…the best who is an inspiration to every generation!!!! Happy birthday Amit uncle @SrBachchan ….you are the BEST.” Followed by Karan, it was his best friend Farah Khan who wrote, “There are heroes & then there are Legends!! Happy birthday legend Sr, Bachchan.”
